Managed IT service

Infrastructure Support Services

The unglamorous layer everything runs on (storage, backup, identity, network core) kept healthy and documented.

Under every application your business touches sits a stack nobody sees: storage arrays, backup systems, identity services, the network core, the server room itself. When that layer is healthy, nobody thinks about it. When it is neglected, every application above it inherits the problems.

Infrastructure support keeps that layer maintained, monitored and, crucially, documented: firmware current, backups verified, Active Directory clean, single points of failure known and either removed or consciously accepted in writing.

Infrastructure Support Services

What the service includes

Storage & backup operations

Arrays, NAS and backup platforms maintained, monitored and test-restored on schedule.

Identity & directory health

Active Directory / Entra ID cleaned, monitored and kept audit-ready, the keys to everything else.

Core network & server room

Switch stacks, firewalls, UPS and environment watched under the monitoring service.

Documentation & risk register

As-built documentation plus a living list of single points of failure with costed fixes.

Why it pays off

  • Failures in the invisible layer stop surprising the visible one
  • A risk register the management team can actually prioritise
  • Audit questions answered from documentation, not archaeology
  • Firmware and updates handled in windows, not emergencies

The return for your business

Infrastructure fails rarely but expensively, the return is the multi-day outage that never happens.

Documentedthe layer nobody looks at, written down rather than held in one person’s memory
Risk registerknown risks listed with a fix and its cost, reviewed on the cadence your agreement sets
Verifiedrestores tested on a schedule, which is the only backup evidence worth having

An illustration, not a past project

The domain controller nobody owned

A company’s logins, file access and printing all depended on one ageing domain controller running in a cupboard, discovered during our baseline documentation. A second controller was virtualised on existing hardware within a month and the risk closed. Nothing visible changed for staff; a company-stopping single point of failure simply stopped existing.
